OUR LAND PEOPLE STORIES BANGARRA DANCE THEATRE
TICKETS: Further details to follow
OUR land people stories encompasses history, family, culture and visual arts. Having premiered already at the Sydney Opera House in 2016, the triple bill weaves arresting choreography, costumes and artistry to breathtaking effect. Nyapanaypa, choreographed by Bangarra Artistic Director Stephen Page, is inspired by the beautifully textured paintings of Yirrkala artist Nyapanyapa Yunupingu. The kinship systems of Wiradjuri Country - the complex familial ties between clans - are exploredbby dancers Daniel Riley and Beau Dean Riley Smith in Miyagan. Lastly, a truthful portrayal of the complex Governor Macquarie is the basis of Jasmin Sheppard’s Macq.
